The working life of a supermodel like Izabel Goulart can be demanding, both physically and emotionally.  Physical fitness and stamina are necessary attributes for the runway, and exercise helps to maintain bodily function and emotional health.  Izabel recognises all of these benefits and, wherever possible, tries to devote an hour each day to working out.  But fitness alone is not the only purpose.  Although she is blessed with a genetic make-up that keeps her lean and slim, her body is a constant focus of attention for the camera.  A fitness routine that builds such remarkable tone and definition makes Izabel Goulart one of the world’s most iconic supermodels.

And, when in Paris, what does a supermodel do? Go straight to the gym for a workout, of course.

Izabel Goulart demonstrates a Pilates core and abdominal exercise using a Pilates Cadillac. Notice the carefully controlled movements and precise body alignments during the exercise.

 In these Instagram photographs, she is demonstrating two yoga positions, often performed in sequence. The plank position (top), helps to build abdominal strength, strengthening the arms and keeping wrists supple and healthy, the footballs are an aid to develop balance at the same time. From the plank position, it is usual to transition to the cobra position (bottom), a back bend that stretches muscles on the front of the torso and strengthens arms and shoulders.

Displaying those beautiful superlong tanned legs, Izabel Goulart illustrates a ‘Cool Down Calves’ routine using TRX (Total Resistance Exercise) suspension straps to build and develop the calf muscles. Keeping the body in an isometric (fixed) position, the heels are lifted and lowered from the ground to contract and expand the calves.

Working out on the Pilates Cadillac.  This exercise, known as the Magician, uses leg springs to help build the core muscles, those found in the tummy and back .  The reason Izabel and so many supermodels  love Pilates is because it helps you tone up without getting bulky ­muscles, ­giving your body a longer, leaner look.

Working out with a TRX suspension trainer in a step back lunge exercise to build core stability (the region below the neck to the hips).

In this short video, Izabel Goulart demonstrates a unilateral, or single leg, training exercise.  This is a technique becoming increasingly popular with top level athletics coaches around the World to stimulate rapid and dramatic improvements in vertical jump.

In this Instagram video clip Izabel is focusing on a hardcore abdominal training routine, in this instance an Abdominal Pike, with a TRX suspension trainer.

In this Instagram photograph, Izabel is working on Pilates Ballet stretches that activate the core band of muscles below the chest, increase blood flow, develop poise, promote good posture, and improve balance.
