Izabel Goulart said goodbye to Cambodia today as she left for Bangkok in Thailand, the final destination of her visit to South East Asia. Staying overnight at the Okura Prestige Hotel in Bangkok, Izabel and her party visited the Grand Palace in the heart of the city. Formerly the official palace of the Kings of Siam, the palace is partially open to the public as a museum, but it remains a working palace with several royal offices still situated inside.
Afterwards, they visited the Buddhist temple of Wat Pho, adjacent to the Grand Palace and home to the reclining Buddha, one of the largest Buddha images of some 15 metres in height and 43 metres long.
In the evening the group enjoyed dinner at one of Bangkok’s most iconic restaurants, the Sirocco on the 63rd floor of the Lebua at State Tower Hotel, the world’s highest open air mediterranean restaurant, enjoying expansive views across the night-time city. The State Tower was one of the locations used for the shooting of the Hangover Part 2 movie.

Expressing feelings of peacefulness and gratitude, she received a blessing from a Buddhist monk.
The group then went on to admire the architecture of the Grand Pagoda at Phra Dhatu Chedi Luang, constructed in 1391 and said to be the tallest in Thailand. As the day drew to an end, Izabel and her friends packed in readiness to travel for the next leg of their vacation, in Cambodia.
