Izabel Goulart has secured a place in the top ten of the Sports Illustrated Social Media Power Rankings for the best use of social media. Based upon the total number of Twitter and Instagram followers and Facebook likes, Izabel is ranked seventh in this, the first year of published rankings. She works hard to keep her fans informed of her activities and achievements and deserves many congratulations for this recognition for her outstanding efforts.
Izabel Goulart appears on the new cover of GQ Portugal in a feature entitled “Izabel Goulart To Conquer the World”, shot in Lisbon, Portugal. She looks set to do just that! In May, the Brazilian supermodel was in Lisbon to receive the award for Woman of the Year in the International GQ Men of the Year. Dubbed ‘Hell’s Angel’, she was photographed by Branislav Simoncik in a very sexy production at the Pestana Palace. Slim-fit Quilted Leather Biker Jacket by Balmain. Styling by Jan Kralicek; makeup by Nana Benjamin and hair by Miroslava Hadjová.
In the editorial which accompanies the photographs, Izabel explains how hard it is to make people understand the day-to-day pressures that go with her high-profile lifestyle. The endless meetings with accountants, lawyers, bank managers and the national and international agencies and bureaucrats that populate her life are unseen by those of us who appreciate the beauty and imagery that characterise this outstanding supermodel. All that is additional to being a friend and girlfriend, and part of a wider family network who all, quite understandably, make demands on her time. We, and her fans are all guilty of expecting more than she can possibly give. Perhaps we all should endeavour to be a little more understanding and seek to be helpful where we can.
Izabel Goulart is pictured here on Wednesday, looking statuesque in a dress that is suspiciously like a Roberto Cavalli design, with the designer himself at today’s photo shoot for Vogue Brasil. “My favourite pieces just happen to be on my favourite models at the moment”, he said recently. After the photo shoot, he was prompted to Tweet “She is so….sexy!”. Izabel is also pictured with hair stylist, Carlos Cesario, and makeup artist Juliana Rakoza.
The Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro has been chosen to host the Olympic Games in 2016, and so it was inevitable that Vogue Brazil would carry one or more Olympic- themed features in the period leading up to the event. No surprise then, that Vogue should choose Brazil’s most athletic and achingly beautiful supermodel, Izabel Goulart, for their October 2013 jewellery editorial entitled “Olympiada Fashion”.
Stylist Pedro Sales has pulled off a classy elegant look with a sporty undercurrent choosing exclusive jewellery from the likes of Oscar de la Renta, Lanvin, Izabel Esteves and Sarah Joias. How on earth they transformed Izabel’s voluminous mane into this edgy pixie crop will remain, however, an impenetrable mystery (a shorthair wig, of course *facepalms forehead*). Doubtless, she will be featuring prominently in the Olympic Organising Committee’s plans for the Brazilian games.
